EGSTON Power

Career

We Revolutionize Research & Product Development

With Digital Twin real-time simulation

EGSTON Power Electronics takes real time simulation to the next level, creating systems for emulating and testing the most powerful electrical devices before even building the first prototype. Join us to work together on “Digital Power Twin”, the most advanced emulation platform currently available. We live a culture with a strong, innovative spirit where an agile way of working and efficient internal communication is capitalized. You can expect a forward-thinking, unique atmosphere, motivated colleagues and a healthy work/life balance.

In 2019, I signed my contract with EGSTON – back then, my kids were 2 and 5 years old. Working full-time with two small children, a house, a dog, and a husband 😉 – people often ask me how I manage it all. My answer is always the same: because I love my job and the amazing team around me! I feel valued and appreciated, I can use and develop my talents, and on top of that, I have a lot of fun with my colleagues.

As a firmware newbie at EGSTON, I’m either knee-deep in VHDL code, scripting Python tools to simplify the chaos or fueling both pursuits with coffee – thankfully, my colleagues welcome the endless barrage of questions. When I need a reset, there’s always the shimmering view of the Danube right outside our window.

Every now and then, I get to go to the office with my boss, Elisabeth. Then, I casually stroll into the big team kitchen—just in case someone happens to be eating. But the best part? The huge terrace, where I can sniff the fresh air and feel like the king of the office!

For someone transitioning from academia, this role has been the perfect fit—I work on cutting-edge technology, challenge myself, and see results in real products. I appreciate the international, welcoming environment where diverse backgrounds offer fresh perspectives, and there’s room to explore different aspects of the job. A moment that stuck with me: during my interview, I was told, “There is one thing missing from your CV”—turns out, it was hobbies. That question showed me how much they value team dynamics and genuine connections.
